Hotel Garuda is back with a follow up to their 2018 single, “Blurry Eyes,” with a new track called “One Reason” featuring Imad Royal and Kiah Victoria. The three have been friends for a few years with a mutual love for creating music. One day they were all in the studio writing and Hotel Garuda played a beat and it stuck and turned into “One Reason.” Hotel Garuda explain’s the track as being about wanting to stay together no matter what and wanting to find another way to work it out regardless of obstacles.

We are excited to announce the Bayonne is back with the announce of his sophomore album ‘Drastic Measures,’ which comes out February 22nd, 2019, and a new track + lyric video for the first single off the album, “Uncertainly Deranged.” This new record is essentially a reflection of Bayonne’s life on and off the road over the last few years. “Drastic measures” refers to the huge risks and sacrifices involved with pursuing art, particularly music and touring, as a career.
For those of you who were with us last week, you will fully understand why it’s taken us a full week to recover from the 10 Years of Mom + Pop anniversary celebration. We are so grateful to be able to celebrate 10 years of independent music with such incredible artists, our friends/family and (of course) our city. Infinite thanks to Courtney Barnett, Tom Morello, Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Alice Merton and Sunflower Bean for lighting up the Brooklyn Steel stage. To our friends at Bowery Presents, we could not have done it without you. The evening would not have been complete without Flume and Future Classic providing the sounds for the after party at Good Room. The energy in both of these rooms will serve to motivate us as we look ahead to the next decade. If this past week is any indication, we can’t wait for what lies ahead. We are still gathering all of our thoughts, photos and videos, but for now here are some of our favorites.
