Watch WAVVES perform “9 Is God” last night on Conan, the brand new song will feature on Wavves GTA V in-game radio station, Vinewood Boulevard Radio. You can grab a preview the station now over on the Rockstar Games website.
Oh, and here is a photo of Nathan wearing a Los Santos hat.
WAVVES first comic book ‘Negative Dad’ is available now! The story of two mutant teenagers on a quest to discover the truth about their father… Written by Nathan Williams and Matt Bahamas, and illustrated by Rudolfo Silva, ‘Negative Dad’ can be purchased over on the official Wavves merch store.
Negative Dad follows the fantastic and disturbing journey of two young mutant boys, Daniel and Serjio, uncovering secrets surrounding their family and friends. This journey ultimately will determine the fate of their world and many others. They live in Verlaine City, a city that once was the center of a scientific revolution, but now a disgusting, dying shadow of its former self. When the boys are visited by beings from another realm, its up to them to discover the truth about their father and his incredible past.
We all know and love Wavves, but it seems Nathan isn’t the only musically inclined fellow of the Williams clan. Today he and his brother Kynan release the fourth full-length from a side-project they call Sweet Valley, this one titled, simply, SV. What to expect? Electric soundscapes galore. Stream and download for free below. Whew, and some artwork, eh.
Wavves have shared a brand new music video for ‘That’s on Me’ — it plays a lot like an IRL version of popular iPhone game ‘Fruit Ninja’, except knife king Lynn Thompson is in charge, and he soon tires of fruit, moving on to, well, a dead pig sporting a Wavves shirt. Oh, and there are cheerleaders. So I guess it’s not that much like ‘Fruit Ninja’ after all.
Exciting news — Today we’ve launched our shiny new subscription service, Boombox! Through Boombox, you’ll receive a digital download of every Mom+Pop release, plus a whole bunch of super exclusive 7″ vinyl, all delivered straight to your door (/inbox) on a monthly basis. The first 300 subscribers will also receive a Boombox tote bag, plus vinyl copies of Metric ‘Synthetica’, Sleigh Bells ‘Reign of Terror’, and one more randomly selected vinyl from the Mom+Pop discography — we’ll choose it when we pack up your order, pretty mysterious and exciting, right?
