Today is a momentous one for all of us over here at Mom+Pop. It marks the release of Break It Yourself, the new studio record from Andrew Bird. The album is available digitally, on vinyl, on CD, and in a deluxe CD package that includes Here’s What Happened, a 30-minute performance film shot in Andrew Bird’s barn during the recording of the album. You can snag the deluxe CD at most indie retailers (bonus: here’s a list of indie shops that have an exclusive poster with purchase of Break it Yourself), and at select Best Buy locations.
But if you’re big on instant gratification, you don’t have to wait for a deluxe CD. Starting today, you can get a free rental of Here’s What Happened, paired along with a $9.99 version of the digital album, on the iTunes Music store. To celebrate the free rental, Mr. Bird unveiled a full performance from the film for the song “Eyeoneye” over at EW.com.
